Biography

Helen Davenport studied at the Leeds college of music as a Violinist and Pianist.  She continued her studies at the London College of Music where she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Performance.

Whilst there she became interested in instrumental music teaching and theory and developed her own music school.  Many of her students went on to become music undergraduates and become performers and teachers themselves.

Initially her students used their experience to gain places at selective schools as she was able to tutor them in both instumental lessons and theory to gain disitinctions through ABRSM exams.

She has two children, one of whom attends the prestigious Purcell School as a Harpist and the other has recently been accepted into the Junior department at the Minster School.
